Inventions liberating and
Disasters of our doing
What have we done?
Lo, we have wounded ourselves
Cancer here, depression there
Heartbreak here, COVID there
Yes, we broke through…
Or so we thought
We have stopped being “humans”
Maybe not us all, but most have
Consuming voraciously
Delegating creation to thin air
We have settled…
For the status quo
Cancer remains disastrous
Politics wear a devilish hat
Governance governs to nothingness
Systems broken and stay same
Poverty, a second-third-fourth republic
Diseases cheaper than Pharm
Social scrolling
10 thousand pages of doom
8 billion realities
Earth full of worm holes
Ignorable, we thought, while
Death tolls mount
Where are we?
Dystopic VR
Chasing papers
Distracted by what is not
Status, prestige, fame, looks
We abandoned
Our true identity
For to be human is to solve
To solve is to invent
To invent is to create
To create is to prosper
This we have forgotten
So come closer
For solutions must arise
Our destinies must shine
